Introducing
FilSynth 2.0
Welcome
to FilResearch Filter Synthesis Software for Windows (FilSynth). FilSynth is
an interactive software package for designing the sophisticated radio
frequency and microwave filters and multiplexers. FilSynth combines the knowledge of the
software engineering, component engineering and system engineering into
one most powerful integrated package. It seamlessly bridges the gap
between the microwave filter design engineering and the electromagnetic
simulation software. It is designed to meet your today and also
tomorrow’s needs for passive microwave filter synthesis and design.
For a quick tour of FilSynth features, please see Overview of Features.
FilSynth 2.0 can now synthesis and design of
multiple filters and multiplexers including Individual filter, Star type
multiplexer, Common resonator type multiplexer, Manifold type multiplexer, Shunt
connected multi-band filters and Cascaded filters. Individual filters can be directly
synthesized, while the multiplexer design is achieved by pole-zero
approximation and optimizations.
FilSynth
can essentially synthesis and analysis any type of passive radio
frequency and microwave filters including bandpass filters, bandstop
filters, lowpass filters and highpass filters. The transmission zeros
can be located freely within the attenuation bands.
Starting
from Requirement Window, FilSynth allows you entering all the main filter
characteristics and specifications at once and contains in the
requirement window. You can go back to requirement window later to
review or revise the requirements.
Pole-Zero
Window allows obtaining and adjusting the frequency responses of the
designed filter before knowing the design parameters of the filter. The
effects of the unloaded Q of the resonators or capacitor/inductor can be
included in the pole-zero response so that design engineers don’t need
to go back and forth between pole-zero and synthesis stages to worry
that insertion loss or gain flatness specification is not meet.
The
electrical parameters of the designed filter can be obtained by either
Synthesis (preferred) or Optimization. Topology of the filter can be
changed during the synthesis and optimization stage. After the design is
completed, the design can be further analyzed at Analysis Window.
Circuit
Diagram and Power Handling Analysis can be performed at synthesis,
optimization and analysis window after the filter design parameters are
known. For bandpass filter type, the locations of the resonators can be
manually adjusted at circuit diagram window to ensure the designed
topology can be realized.
Many
features are available in FilSynth for microwave filter design and
analysis to help your design more accurate, quicker and easier.
