FilSynth provides the function of performing the power handling analysis of the designed filter. For bandpass and bandstop filters, the stored energy within each resonator as a function of frequency is displayed relative to 1W of output power. The peak electric field in each resonator can also be displayed if the relationship between the peak electric field and the stored energy of the resonator is known. For lowpass filter and highpass filter, capacitor and inductor power handling capability can be studied in terms of transmission power, voltage or current. The maximum power handling capacity of the designed filter can be easily calculated. In addition, a power line at a given value within a frequency range can be displayed in the power plot.
