Filter Synthesis
No matter bandpass
filter, bandstop filter or lowpass/highpass filter, FilSynth can accurately
synthesis the filter’s design parameters by just a single click of
synthesis button. For bandpass filter,
the N+2 type coupling matrix is used so that maximum N transmission zeros
can be realized by using source/load coupling. The coupling matrix of the
bandpass filter can be further synthesized by using the element rotating
method. Topology matrix of the coupling matrix can be changed manually.
Element of the coupling matrix can be zeroed manually or the whole
coupling matrix can be synthesized automatically based on the desired
filter topology. For bandstop filter,
the filter design parameters can be synthesized directly with transmission
zeros by resonators located at anywhere withing the stop band. The
transmission line impedance can be arbitrary or be synthesized
automatically. A single external admittance is used to ensure the real
impedance of the output port. For lowpass filter or highpass filter, capacitance and inductance of the ladder type filter are obtained analytically. First element of the filter can be either capacitor ot inductor. For lowpass or highpass filter with transmission zero, the resonant branch can be selected automatically or manually as long as two resonant branches are not contiguously next to each other.
